Jane has been Flautist in Residence at The Acoustics Laboratory, University of New South Wales since 2000. She was the consultant for Computer Engineer, Andrew Botros during the development of the successful Virtual Flute launched in 2002.
Jane currently plays flute and piccolo with The Occasional Performing Sinfonia and regularly plays in musical theatre in Sydney. She collaborates with soprano chanteuse Nadia Piave and pianist Paul Myers giving recitals throughout Sydney.
She has recently returned from a European study tour, learning with Vincent Lucas, principal flautist of Orchestre de Paris.
Jane has performed with Sinfonia Australis, Sydney Chamber Orchestra, the East-West Philharmonic (resident orchestra of the Queen Victoria Building), Woollahra Philharmonic, Mosman Symphony, The University of New South Wales Orchestra, City of Sydney Concert Band and The Garrison Ensemble.
Jane has also performed in Paris with L’Orchestre d’UNESCO and La Sirène Orchestre d’Harmonie. Jane has run a busy private flute studio for the past twelve years and is also on the music teaching staff at SCEGGS Darlinghurst and Claremont College, Randwick. She has taught the flute at Ascham School, Tonika School of Music, Paddington Public School, South Coogee Public School, Marcellin College Randwick and The Emanual School. Jane is also a flute tutor for Sydney based youth orchestras and bands.
